Partnership Opportunity
Cambridgeshire Community RePaint collects unwanted paint from Household Waste Recycling Centres around the county then sorts it to ensure quality and colour and provides it to people at incredibly low prices.
We aim to have partners in each of the Cambridgeshire districts and have partner opportunities in Wisbech, Huntingdon and South Cambs although we would consider other areas too.
Operation
CCORRN’s Cambridgeshire wide Community Repaint scheme is labour intensive and is one of the largest of its kind in the UK and regarded by many as one of leading organisations in this field in terms of standards, service and beneficiaries.
The scheme has part time management/admin staff and part time project workers/drivers. Most of the work is dependent on volunteers provided through a number of sources.
The main March facility is open to the public Monday to Saturday 10am - 3pm.
CCORRN's facility includes areas where members can access paint and creative reuse materials as part of the recent expansion.
Distribution
CCORRN has a contract with Cambridgeshire County Council and AmeyCespa for collecting testing and treating the waste paint and preparing the reusable paint for reuse. In addition to offering members access to the factory shop in March CCORRN has partners who distribute paint in their local areas so that more communities can benefit from the scheme.
For a nominal set up fee a partnership organisation will receive a package of support and resources to open a shop or create a paint sales area within their existing facility. There are some requirements including signing an agreement and adhering to certain procedures, record keeping and collaborative working with the other partners in the scheme.
CCORRN will supply usable tested paint in tins priced ready for sale including the ReMixed range. All distributor partners receive equal percentage of the sales income of each tin of paint they sell and all of the membership fees.
